The Ultimate 3-day Coco Beach Itinerary, Costa Rica

Playa Del Coco is a beautiful beach town in Costa Rica, but it is often underrated and not talked about much. However, in my opinion, it exemplifies what it is like to live in Costa Rica. The town is filled with more locals than tourists, which creates a unique and authentic atmosphere. We experienced an overwhelming amount of joy during our visit. Playa Del Coco is a peaceful and safe place, allowing us to freely explore and feel secure. We had the pleasure of meeting many amazing people, spending four hours playing chess at a coffee shop, and indulging in delicious food. Additionally, Liberia, located approximately one hour away, was a perfect location for us. We were able to book affordable tours in Liberia, which included transportation. Here is our three-day itinerary for Coco Beach and Liberia:

Day 4: Travel day to the Caribbean 🌊

Food Information? After staying in Monteverde for a few days and traveling through Costa Rica, we discovered how insanely expensive everything is. Especially if you wanted to stop by a nice restaurant or any restaurant, to say the least. When we arrived in Coco Beach we decided to stop at a local Market to buy a few groceries to save some money on breakfast and lunches.

Transportation? Coco Beach is located in Liberia. There are Ubers available as well as taxis. It is super easy to get around, even on foot. We stayed at an Airbnb that provided bikes. Luckily, the Airbnb was within walking distance from the beach so we had to choose to walk or ride bikes just for fun.

How safe is Coco Beach? Coco Beach is a pretty populated place and most of the people that you will see are tourists or locals that have been living there for a very long time. However, anything can happen pretty much anywhere. Make sure you are cautious and check your surroundings everywhere you go.

Other Fun Excursions to think about in Coco Beach:

Liberia Tour Guide Information: My husband has a knack for finding Facebook pages related to our travel destinations. In this case, he discovered an incredible tour guide through a Costa Rica Facebook travel group. This tour guide was knowledgeable about all the best spots and arranged some truly memorable excursions in Liberia and Coco Beach. Moreover, he provided us with valuable information regarding dining options and recommended attractions. I understand that planning a trip to Costa Rica can be stressful, as it was for me. There are numerous places to visit, and if you only have a week or two, it may feel insufficient and frustrating. However, if you decide to visit Coco Beach, there’s no need to stress—simply reach out to “Matt’s Fishing Tours.”: https://www.mattsfishingandtourscr.com : Tell him Alexis sent you. Until next time, Lovelylivelyalexis.
